Our First Baby Shower!!

This past weekend was super exciting as it was my first baby shower as a consultant! It was also very special to me as the mom-to-be is one of my very best friends! {Not to mention she is having a girl and I have been waiting for this because all of the other babies in my life are boys!!}

We started by picking our invitations and based our theme from there!

I made the invitations on Minted. I tend to use Minted a lot because they have a TON of designs, but also let you customize to your liking with colors, wording, extra's, etc. Not to mention, they can address, self address and even create custom stamps for you to make your life and this part of the planning process super easy and convenient!

Since the invites were in the rose gold color scheme, we ran with it! We used rose gold, blush and gold colors throughout our decor to keep it girly for both mama and baby!

We made the welcome sign on our own.. keeping it simple and low cost!

I also made the baby a piece of decor just for her... (she does not have a name yet, so we refer to her as "Baby P" as P is the first letter of her last name)... it felt really special for me to do this for her !!

My friend Stephanie from Police Wife Crafts (check her out on etsy!! https://www.etsy.com/shop/PoliceWifeCraftsCo?ref=seller-platform-mcnav ) made the baby the SWEETEST newborn onesie to match her daddy (well...kinda lol)

I had the centerpieces made by the awesome Michelle at The Flower Bar in Brick, NJ. Baby pink roses with baby's breath..... see a trend??! {LOL}

We also had a book table where we asked guests to bring a book for the baby and write a note to her inside! Since stories are associated with night-time, we decided to do a little night-time space using a crescent moon balloon and sparkly gold stars.

We got super fortunate at the venue, Kate Ally's, in Forked River, NJ, because they already had a backdrop we could use and they were willing to change the colors to match our event!

Overall, I would say the event was a success. The food was great, we even had a little dessert/candy table set up for the guests with to-go boxes if they were too full from lunch! {Which I must say, was quite a hit!!}

Mama-to-be was super happy with how everything turned out and she was extremely appreciative of all the time put into the event and all of the presents for baby!!
